What it solves
When traffic is healthy but bookings are not, the problem is usually between pages rather than on one. Information sits in one place, pricing in another and the form in a third.
How to use it
- 1
Give the entry page
Enter the address of the page most visitors arrive on.
- 2
Steps are derived
Links, calls and missing information on the page are arranged into a journey order.
- 3
See the drop points
The report names the step where information runs out and what the visitor is left asking.
Example report
The journey resolves into five steps. A drop is expected at step three, where duration and pricing information is missing.
Findings
- Step three: decisionHigh
Once the visitor understands the service they look for duration and a price range, and the page has neither.
Even where you cannot give a price range, state the duration and what drives the price.
- Step five: bookingMedium
The form only exists at the foot of the page, out of reach at the moment of decision.
Place a second booking entry directly under the decision section.
Actions you can take
- Add duration and price drivers to the decision sectionImpact: HighEffort: Medium
- Put a second booking entry mid-pageImpact: HighEffort: Low
